Binance has put fresh attention on a feature that lets eligible users convert supported stock positions into bStocks at a 1:1 ratio and move them back into stocks when needed.

Binance said in an Oct. 6 post on X that its Stocks and bStocks products are “connected,” directing users to its existing conversion guide. The exchange’s FAQ states that Nest Trading Limited handles conversions between supported stocks and corresponding bStocks at a 1:1 ratio with no conversion fee.

The Oct. 6 post does not introduce a new conversion service. Binance announced bStocks in June with the same 1:1 stock conversion feature, alongside 24/7 spot trading and withdrawals to compatible wallets.

Binance bStocks let stock positions move on-chain

Eligible users have three main routes into bStocks. Binance explains that a customer can tokenize a supported stock order when placing it, convert an existing stock position into the corresponding bStock, or buy bStocks through Binance Spot.

For existing holdings, Nest Trading Limited provides the conversion service. Binance says stock-to-bStock conversions are completed at a 1:1 ratio without an extra conversion charge.

The service generally remains available around the clock. Conversions can temporarily stop during technical maintenance or while a corporate action is being processed, according to Binance.

Moving in the other direction requires an eligible Stock Account. A user converting a bStock back into the corresponding stock must meet the Stock Account requirements and accept the relevant terms before confirming the transaction.

Small rounding differences can appear after conversion. Binance records equity balances to as many as nine decimal places, while bStocks support eight decimal places. Its FAQ states that any amount beyond the eighth decimal place remains with the issuer as a rounding difference and is not treated as a conversion fee.

As previously reported in crypto.news coverage of the bStocks launch, Binance introduced tokenized securities linked to companies including Nvidia, Tesla, Circle, Micron and Sandisk. The product opened another route between Binance’s direct stock offering and blockchain-based securities.

bStocks are not the same as owning company shares

Despite the 1:1 backing, bStocks are not legally the same as direct ownership of company shares.

Binance states that BTech Holdings Limited, a Binance group affiliate, issues the securities. The products are structured as certificates representing financial instruments linked to underlying shares.

A person holding a bStock does not directly become a shareholder in the company represented by the token. Binance’s product documents say holders do not receive direct ownership rights in companies such as Tesla, Nvidia or Apple simply by holding the corresponding bStock.

The Abu Dhabi Global Market Financial Services Regulatory Authority lists multiple BTech Holdings bStocks on its official securities register. Products shown on the list include certificates tied to Adobe, AMD, Alphabet, Amazon and Apple.

ADGM’s separate register of approved prospectuses shows BTech Holdings Limited as an issuer of certificates and certificates over shares under documents approved during 2026.

Binance said at launch that each bStock would be backed 1:1 by the corresponding U.S. share held at a regulated custodian. The exchange provides a proof-of-collateral page for users seeking to check the backing.

Once tokenized, bStocks can move outside Binance. The company’s FAQ says users can withdraw bStocks as BEP-20 tokens to compatible BNB Smart Chain wallets, subject to eligibility checks, sanctions controls and applicable law.

Withdrawals can carry a network fee, while the bStocks themselves can trade through Binance Spot outside regular stock-market hours.

In related coverage, crypto.news reported Binance’s expansion of bStocks into margin products, allowing qualifying users in permitted jurisdictions to use selected tokenized securities as collateral.

Dividends and stock splits work differently for bStocks

Corporate actions are handled differently from a standard brokerage account.

Binance explains that cash dividends from an underlying company are generally reinvested into the corresponding stock after applicable taxes and deductions. The user’s bStock balance then changes through an on-chain mechanism called the multiplier.

As a result, the bStock holder does not receive a direct cash dividend payment from Binance in the same way a conventional shareholder might through a brokerage account.

Stock splits use a related process. Binance gives the example of a 2-for-1 stock split, where the number of bStocks held would double while the value of each token would fall by half.

Deposits, withdrawals and conversions can pause while a corporate action is processed. Binance says spot trading does not need to stop solely because a dividend is being processed.

U.S. users remain excluded from the product. Binance states that bStocks have not been registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 or state securities laws and cannot be offered or made available to U.S. persons.

The restriction applies even when a bStock tracks a U.S.-listed company. Holding the token does not provide direct voting, inspection or shareholder communication rights in the underlying company.

Binance’s stock product operates separately from bStocks. In related crypto.news coverage of Binance’s stock trading expansion, the exchange provided eligible non-U.S. users access to thousands of equities through its stock trading infrastructure.

Binance has separate bStocks conversion offers

Binance currently has other bStocks conversion programs that are separate from the standard stock-to-bStock service.

One program lets eligible users deposit selected third-party tokenized securities and convert them into corresponding bStocks. Binance said the promotion offers a fixed 1:1 conversion rate with zero conversion fees through Oct. 11, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, subject to daily limits.

Supported assets under that program include selected tokenized securities linked to companies such as Tesla, Strategy, Coinbase and Circle. The third-party tokens cannot be traded directly on Binance Spot under the program and can instead be held or converted into bStocks.

Binance warns that third-party tokenized securities and bStocks remain legally separate products with different structures, rights and risks.

The Oct. 11 deadline applies only to that promotional third-party conversion program. Binance’s regular stock-to-bStock FAQ does not list the same expiration date for direct conversions between supported stocks and their matching bStocks.

On Oct. 6, Binance announced another campaign aimed at new users and first-time bStocks traders. Eligible participants who register and complete at least $50 equivalent in qualifying bStocks transactions through Binance Convert can compete for a share of 100 SPCXB in token vouchers.

A second part of the same campaign covers recurring bStocks conversions and carries a separate 10 SPCXB reward pool. The promotion runs from Oct. 6 through Nov. 2, 2026 at 23:59 UTC, with eligibility and account-verification requirements applying to participants.
