Broadridge has expanded its digital asset platform into the U.S., allowing wealth firms to place cryptocurrencies and tokenized securities within systems already used for traditional investments.

According to Broadridge’s Sept. 14 announcement, U.S. broker-dealers, registered investment advisers and wealth managers can use the platform across trading, custody, servicing, governance and client reporting. Anchorage Digital and Galaxy Digital are the first named infrastructure providers supporting the U.S. rollout.

Broadridge Financial Solutions trades on the NYSE under BR, according to its SEC filings. The company is not Nasdaq-listed, as some secondary reports described it.

Broadridge combines crypto with existing wealth systems

The platform is designed to let firms support cryptocurrencies and tokenized real-world assets without creating a separate books-and-records environment. Broadridge said customers can connect the service to its own systems or third-party recordkeeping platforms, preserving downstream functions such as tax reporting, confirmations, statements and regulatory reporting.

Digital assets can sit alongside conventional investments in advisor-led or self-directed accounts. Broadridge lists tokenized equities, investment funds and private or alternative assets among the instruments supported through its digital infrastructure.

Tom Carey, Broadridge’s global head of product and technology, said “digital assets are moving from the margins” in U.S. wealth management. His statement describes the company’s assessment of customer demand, not an independently measured adoption rate.

The U.S. expansion follows Broadridge’s April launch of the same next-generation wealth infrastructure in Canada. Its Canadian service offered crypto, tokenized assets, wallets, multi-custodian support and connectivity to exchanges and asset managers within a unified wealth platform. 

Anchorage and Galaxy provide the first infrastructure links

Anchorage Digital will provide institutional custody and settlement capabilities as part of the initial U.S. partner network. Broadridge said its architecture supports both omnibus and segregated wallet structures and is designed to connect with more than one custodian.

Anchorage Digital Bank remains a federally supervised national trust bank. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s February 2026 list identifies Anchorage Digital Bank National Association as an active national trust bank in South Dakota. The OCC’s current trust-bank records list Anchorage Digital Bank.

The OCC originally approved Anchorage’s conversion to a national trust bank in 2021. In February 2026, the regulator recorded the termination of an operating agreement that had previously imposed supervisory conditions on the institution.

Galaxy brings digital asset market infrastructure and liquidity capabilities to the Broadridge ecosystem. The two companies had already worked together on tokenized securities before Monday’s wealth-platform announcement.

In April, Broadridge launched on-chain governance support for tokenized equities and named Galaxy as an early user. The system enables proxy voting, corporate actions and regulatory disclosures to operate across traditional shares and tokenized versions within existing workflows. Broadridge announced the Galaxy governance integration in April.

Galaxy has continued building institutional tokenization services outside the Broadridge partnership. In related coverage, Galaxy and State Street launched the SWEEP tokenized cash fund in May, with Anchorage Digital providing custody for that product.

Broadridge uses DLX to connect tokenized and traditional assets

Broadridge launched its DLX infrastructure platform on Sept. 9, five days before announcing the U.S. wealth expansion. DLX provides a connected operating layer for traditional financial systems and on-chain markets, with support for issuance, trading, settlement, servicing, custody and distribution. DLX supports multiple blockchain networks and includes programmable smart-contract tools and 24/7 transaction capabilities. Broadridge said the platform can connect to DTCC’s Tokenization Service through Canton, while other networks and use cases are expected to be added. Future connectivity remains subject to product development and relevant regulatory requirements.

For wealth firms, Broadridge says DLX can provide access to eligible tokenized funds, equities, fixed-income products and other financial assets through existing advisory and client-service channels. Issuers and asset managers can use the same infrastructure to create and service tokenized instruments.

The model resembles other U.S. projects seeking to connect blockchain securities with conventional brokerage systems. As crypto.news reported in June, Prometheum introduced infrastructure for broker-dealers and RIAs to provide crypto assets and tokenized securities through conventional brokerage accounts.

Tokenized securities can use different legal and custody structures. crypto.news examined how tokenized stock ownership rights vary by structure, including issuer-backed, custodial and synthetic arrangements. Broadridge says its governance infrastructure supports issuer-listed securities, third-party tokenized shares in the U.S. and synthetic securities offered outside the country.

DLR gives Broadridge an existing institutional tokenization base

Broadridge’s new wealth offering builds on its Distributed Ledger Repo system, which already handles institutional repo and collateral transactions using tokenized assets. The Sept. 14 release said DLR tokenizes more than $351 billion in real assets per day.

Recent month-specific company data shows activity above that figure. Broadridge reported that DLR processed $8 trillion during July, with average daily volume of $365 billion. The company said July daily volume rose 28% from a year earlier. 

As crypto.news previously reported, DLR had maintained daily transaction volume above $350 billion through several months of 2026, including $357 billion per day in June and $362 billion in May.

Broadridge expanded DLR again on Sept. 2 to support G7 securities in cross-border repo, intraday financing and collateral movements. The company said the service uses atomic settlement for transactions involving international securities. The company’s July Tokenization Pulse survey found that 84% of 200 senior financial-services decision-makers in the U.S. and Canada considered tokenization strategically important. Another 69% said their firms planned to combine tokenized capabilities with existing infrastructure instead of operating entirely separate systems. The survey represents respondents’ expectations, not confirmed future adoption. 

Broadridge’s Sept. 14 announcement did not identify individual U.S. wealth firms that have adopted the new service. The company said its partner ecosystem will expand beyond Anchorage Digital and Galaxy as firms require new custody, wallet, liquidity and compliance connections.
